Despite the title, the majority of the action takes place in London, although the city of Amsterdam is the site of the final scenes. ![]() He writes with a simplicity and clarity that makes reading this short book, less than 180 pages, a quick and easy read. Ian McEwan has a reputation for good writing and that is in evidence in his novel, Amsterdam, which won the 1998 Man Booker Prize. ![]()
